Irvin Sherman
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Sherman was born in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from the McBurney High School in New York City in 1963. Dr. Sherman went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Louisville in 1967. He followed this program by completing a Master of Science Degree in Microbiochemistry in 1968. He then attended the top ranked dental school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and received his DDS Degree in 1972. Dr. Sherman was then recruited by several graduate programs in Pediatric Dentistry and finally received a full scholarship at the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, completing a Master of Science Degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 1974.
In 1976, Dr. Sherman established his own private practice in Pediatric Dentistry in East Brunswick, NJ. It became one of the premier pediatric dental practices in Middlesex County.
Dr. Sherman and his family recently moved to the Jersey Shore and have enjoyed living a life closer to the beach. Dr. Sherman then decided that it would be a great idea to establish a new pediatric and orthodontic practice closer to his home. In September of 2010, Dr. Sherman opened a new practice, called SHORE CHILDREN’S DENTAL CARE, in Avon by the Sea, NJ. Dr. Sherman brings his 40 years of experience, expertise and caring methods of treatment to infants, children, teens and the special needs patient.
Since 1979, Dr. Sherman has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the New Jersey Society of Dentistry for Children, the American Academy of Hospital Dentistry, the American Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped, the American Association of Orthodontists, Middlesex County Dental Society, the Monmouth/Ocean Dental Society and several other organizations.
Serving the broader community since 1976, Dr. Sherman has been an active attending pediatric dentist at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and St. Peter’s University Hospital, both in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Sherman has also been Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital since 1980. Among academia, he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the Rutgers Medical School, since 1980. Dr. Sherman is also Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
Dr. Sherman has also lectured extensively over the last 35 years on all aspects of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sherman’s hobby and passion since he was a teenager was auto racing, both on an amateur and professional level. He has instructed for the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America), the Northern NJ BMW Club and other sports car clubs. Since retiring from active racing, Dr. Sherman has been restoring cars of many vintages. Dr. Sherman lives in Avon by the Sea with his wife. He has five children and five grandchildren.

Binni Patel
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Binni Patel grew up in Galloway, New Jersey spending time at the shore. She graduated Cum Laude from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey where she obtained her Bachelor of the Arts degree in Biological Sciences with minors in Physiology and Religion. Continuing further at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After graduating from dental school, she came back towards the shore and completed a General Practice Residency as Chief Resident at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.
After one year in private practice she went onto Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York to complete her specialty training in Pediatric Residency. During this time she was able to gain knowledge in the treatment of pediatrics and medically compromised patients. Her experience in the treatment of special needs patients was enhanced at the Rose F. Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. She is actively learning in her field as a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Associated (ADA) and Monmouth County Dental Society.
Dr. Binni lives in Edison, NJ with her husband. In her free time she loves to travel the world with her husband and go hiking in the most amazing places. She loves treating children and being part of a wonderful team at Shore Children’s Dental Care.
Shakila S. Ziashakeri
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Shakila received her Bachelor of Science from Salisbury University in Maryland and a Master of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular biology from Towson University. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University and during this time, she participated in a dental mission in Jamaica, helping the underserved community. In addition, she participated in Give Kids A Smile, helping elementary age children have access to oral health care and dental needs. After graduation from dental school, she completed a year of a General Practice Residency at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She then continued her pediatric dental specialty training at the Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston and also received an award for her research on silver diamine fluoride (SDF).
She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and the Massachusetts Dental Society. Her true passion involves caring and treating children by creating a comfortable and safe dental experience. Dr. Shakila is very excited about joining Shore Children’s Dental Care and is passionate to work with pediatric patients of all ages.
In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Jason V. Tesoriero
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Jason V. Tesoriero was raised in Staten Island, New York, but has recently settled into his new home in Middletown, NJ. He graduated Cum Laude from Binghamton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2009. During his time at Binghamton, he served as a volunteer EMT for the campus as well the local community. He also volunteered as a dental assistant for a local dentist in Binghamton, which introduced him to the field of dentistry.
He graduated Cum Laude from New York University College of Dentistry in 2014. At NYU, he participated in a pediatric dental honors program, where his passion for treating children began. He then served as Chief Resident during his two-year pediatric dental residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. During his residency, he gained invaluable experience treating children of all ages in both hospital and office settings. He developed skills in treating children with special needs at the Rose F. Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.
During his free time, Dr. Jason enjoys fishing, hiking, rooting on NY sports teams, and traveling/exploring new places with his wife, Christina. He loves to keep children smiling with his compassion and sense of humor. He is proud to be part of the team at Shore Children’s Dental Care!
Ghazaleh Sayah
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Ghazaleh Sayah is very excited to be joining the practice and is committed to providing outstanding care to every child as if it is her own. The core value that she will always uphold and practice is compassion.
Dr. Ghazaleh Sayah was born in California and moved to her hometown country of Iran and lived there until the age of 10. She then moved to Virginia where she graduated from George Mason University in 2012 with a bachelor of science. She then pursued dental school and attended New York University College of Dentistry where she graduated in 2018. Following dental school, Ghazaleh completed one year of general practice residency at NYU Langone Hospital in 2019. Thereafter, she went on to pursue a pediatric degree at NYU Langone Hospital, where she graduated in 2022. The two years in residency was heavily focused on helping children who were under served and those with special needs. Dr. Sayah is a member of AAPD, ADA, and Second District Dental Society of New York.
In her spare time, Dr. Sayah loves to spend time with her family, friends, and her cat named Bridget. She loves to travel and explore different cultures and food. She also loves to bike and enjoys baking.
Marcus Santo
General Dentist
Dr. Marcus Santo was born in Monmouth County, Jersey and has lived there most of his life. Dr. Santo loves to live close to the Jersey Shore. He spent four short years away from New Jersey where he received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from University of Miami in 2016. He later returned to New Jersey where he went on to receive his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2021. He continued to advance his training by completing a General Practice Residency at Monmouth Medical Center in 2022.
Outside of the office Dr. Santo loves to spend time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach and trying new restaurants. Other hobbies of his include exercising, playing golf, and keeping up with his favorite TV shows.
Mahima Singh
General Dentist
Dr. Mahima Singh graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2006 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). She also has a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from India in 1997. She has lived in NY/ NJ and PA. She resides in Monmouth County and moved to NJ during the pandemic to be closer to family.
Dr. Singh has worked as an Associate and Lead Dentist in private practice for many years. She is the former Dental Director of Volunteers in Medicine, Wilkes Barre, PA. Dr. Singh was an active member of the leadership panel of the Cancer Advisory Board HPV workgroup of the Pennsylvania Cancer Coalition. She has also trained Dental Hygiene students from Luzerne County Community College and medical students from Geisinger Medical Center during their rotations through the clinic.
She has received several awards and recognitions including

She lead various community outreach programs at schools in underserved areas, did several interviews and appearances on local television programs and newspapers speaking about oral health (PAhomepage, Dallas Post, Live with Ryan Leckey, Newswatch16, Chanel and Muckboots podcast interview with TEDx Speaker Suzanne Kapral, etc).
In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, she has four kids. She also enjoys pursuing Indian classical dance, traveling, walking her dog and yoga. She likes listening to classic rock.
Natasha Patel
General Dentist
Dr. Natasha Patel was born in South Carolina and grew up in the West Coast until she moved to New Jersey in 2007. She graduated from Rutgers University with Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in Cell Biology & Neuroscience and Psychology in 2014. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine in Hawthorne, NY and later finished general practice residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. She is a member of the American Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association.
Dr. Nat values building strong relationships with her patients and works closely to create a dental care plan that encourages daily attention and education to improve oral health.
In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She is a huge foodie and loves photography!
Martin Rabinovich
Orthodontist
Dr. Martin Rabinovich grew up in Marlboro, New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey where he obtained his Bachelor of the Arts majoring in the Biological Sciences. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. After graduating from dental school, he traveled to Denver, Colorado completing advanced specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Colorado and earned his Masters of Science in Dentistry for his research and master’s thesis. In his residency training he treated a multitude of cleft lip and palate as well craniofacial anomalies of patients affiliated with the Children’s Hospital of Colorado Cleft Lip and Palate Team.
Dr. Rabinovich is a board-certified orthodontist of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Rabinovich is an active member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Monmouth Ocean County Dental Society, and the American Association of Orthodontists.
While in residency, Dr. Rabinovich represented the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists on the AAO Council on New and Younger Members. Dr. Rabinovich is committed in providing the highest level of orthodontic care and is passionate in helping create more healthy, beautiful and functional smiles that you deserve. Outside the office, Dr. Rabinovich loves to travel, stay active hiking and skiing the outdoors, playing ice hockey, and spending time with his friends and family.
